Farhana is Aishwarya's fifth project this year after Run Baby Run, The Great Indian Kitchen and Soppana Sundari. The makers had issued a press release earlier when a few expressed concern on the representation of religious minority in it. According to them, they have taken utmost care in ensuring that the movie is devoid of insensitive portrayal of any community.

The team has been keeping its OTT details under wraps for reasons best known to makers. After a press show organized by makers, it has now been revealed that SonyLIV has acquired its digital rights. Its online premiere is expected to happen in the first week of June.

The film is releasing along with Custody, Good Night and Raavana Kottam at the box office tomorrow. Aishwarya's next release, Theera Kaadhal, is ready for release on May 26.
