Lakshya is one of the many films directed by Farhan Akhtar. Written by his father Javed Akhtar, the film, starring Hrithik Roshan and Preity Zinta, was extensively shot in Ladakh. In a recent interview, filmmaker Farhan reflected on the challenges he faced during Lakshya's shoot in Ladakh. The director opened up about his experience shooting at the place 20 years ago for Lakshya vs now for 120 Bahadur.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Farhan Akhtar admitted he loves Ladakh and prefers shooting at real-life locations for his projects. The director believes technology has evolved and emerged as a great tool for filmmakers. It was easier for Akhtar to shoot for 120 Bahadur in Ladakh from the production point of view.

"When we went there to shoot Lakshya 20 years back, the infrastructure was very different. Getting to Ladakh was very difficult, the roads were terrible, there was hardly anything there. There were no mobile phones and communication was difficult during Lakshya’s shoot. This time, things were simpler," shared Farhan.

The director recalled everything that was supposed to be shot in Chang La Pass, had to be discussed the previous evening. "We couldn’t call the base and change anything while filming was on, none of that existed," he revealed.

Besides the two movies, Farhan shot some portions of his 2013 film Bhaag Milkha Bhaag at the picturesque location. This time, the filmmaker got a chance to be in Ladakh for 120 Bahadur's long schedule, which he felt was beautiful.
