One of the most successful franchises 'Housefull' is set to return with its fifth installment soon. The film has four films released in the series is is known for starring multiple big names from the industry with each film. Now that the fifth and much-anticipated film is gearing up to release, yet again the film is making headlines every now and then for multiple big names coming on board. The latest development reveals that Fardeen Khan has now come on board for this Akshay Kumar starrer.
Fardeen Khan comes on board for Housefull 5
Housefull 5 is currently in the pre-production stage and if reports are to be believed, the film will go on floors in August end. After Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, and Nana Patekar, the cast has now become bigger and better with Fardeen Khan joining the clan alongside Akshay Kumar. This also marks a reunion of Akshay, Fardeen, and Said Nadiadwala together after more than 17 years. The trio last collaborated for the film Heyy Babyy.
According to a report by Pinkvilla, "It’s a fun-filled role for Fardeen and the actor is also excited to work again with Akshay after their soon-to-be-released Khel Khel Mein. There were multiple contenders for the role in question, including Arjun Rampal, and it’s Fardeen Khan who is now ready to make an entry in the world of Housefull.”
Speaking about the female leads of the film, the report suggests that the casting for female protagonists is underway and the makers are eyeing to rope in some of the top mainstream actresses for the film. Talking about the narrative of the film, the source informed the portal, “It’s a comic thriller, where one episode brings the house down inside a cruise. The idea is to introduce a new flavor of comedy with Housefull 5.”

Meanwhile, the first two installments of the franchise, which were released in 2010 and 2012 were directed by Sajid Khan. Housefull starred Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Arjun Rampal, Lara Dutta, Deepika Padukone, and Jiah Khan. The second series 'Housefull 2' featured Akshay Kumar, Rishi Kapoor, Randhir Kapoor, Mithun Chakraborty, Asin, John Abraham, Jacqueline Fernandez, Riteish Deshmukh, Shreyas Talpade, Zareen Khan, Chunky Panday, Shazahn Padamsee, and Boman Irani.
Housefull 3 featured Abhishek Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, Lisa Haydon, Chunky Pandey, and Jackie Shroff and was directed by Sajid-Farhad. The fourth film in the franchise featured Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Bobby Deol, Kriti Sanon, Pooja Hegde, and Kriti Kharbanda and was directed by Farhad Samji.
