Farah Khan mentioned that she stays away from obvious choices. However, the only time she made an obvious was when she cast Katrina Kaif in her 2010 film Tees Maar Khan. "It was obvious because wo Akshay Kumar ke saath 6-7 movies kar chuki thi and I was very against ki mujhe usko nahi lena hai. But wo ghoom ghaam ke wohi aayi picture mein," she told the portal.

For those who are unaware, Katrina featured in Bollywood films like Singh Is Kinng, Namastey London, Sooryavanshi, Welcome, De Dana Dan, and Humko Deewana Kar Gaye. They have been a hit-on-screen pair.
