Vijay Deverakonda, who was paired alongside Samantha in the romance drama Kushi, will have his first Sankranthi release with his upcoming film Family Star. He’s reuniting with Geetha Govindam director Parasuram Petla for the film produced by Dil Raju under Sri Venkateswara Creations. Anitha is the presenter of the film which features Mrunal Thakur as the female lead.
After impressing audiences and hogging the limelight with the recently launched glimpse, the makers of Family Star unveiled a new poster of the film commemorating Diwali. Vijay sports a light-green kurta and a pyjama while Mrunal Thakur is as elegant as ever in a traditional saree. The on-screen couple is celebrating Diwali in the poster that showcases Vijay and Mrunal’s terrific on-screen chemistry.
“From our family to yours, Happy Diwali. To extend the festivities beyond this holiday season, first single of #FamilyStar is coming very soon,” the production house shared today, as they launched the poster. The hashtag - #AiraneVanchalaEnti - popularised by a dialogue from the glimpse, has clicked with netizens. Family Star promises to be an ideal mix of romance, humour, action and emotions.
Producer Dil Raju has constantly tailored his films for Sankranthi in the recent years, tasting good success as well. Going by the combination, Family Star appears a safe bet at the box office. The film has a credible technical team too. Gopi Sundar scores the music for the entertainer which has cinematography by KU Mohanan. Marthand K Venkatesh is the editor and Vasu Varma is the creative producer.
AS Prakash is the art director of Family Star. Vijay Deverakonda, after Family Star, will move onto another film - a spy drama, directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, produced by Sithara Entertainments. Mrunal Thakur, whose Hindi film Pippa opted for a direct-to-OTT release, will also be seen in Nani’s emotional drama Hi Nanna (which releases on December 7).
