Family Drama trailer - Suhas is stunning in a bad-ass avatar

Telugu actor Suhas has shown tremendous promise from his short film days to his turn as a lead for Colour Photo in 2020 that released directly on the Telugu OTT platform aha. While his spontaneity came to the fore in his comic appearances across films like Majili, Dear Comrade and Prati Roju Pandage, it took a Colour Photo to unleash his true potential as a performer. After playing the timid, sincere youngster in Colour Photo, he does a role reversal of sorts to transform into a bad-ass villain for his next, titled Family Drama. The trailer of the film released on Thursday.

Family Drama, scripted and directed by Meher Tej, hints at a survival drama where an entire family living in an independent house is under the grasp of a psychopath, played by Suhas. The character doesn't have any sense of remorse or regret for committing one murder after the other. There's a lot of style and aura that the actor brings to the portrayal in the trailer; his conviction, strong screen presence and confident body language win you over. Other actors in the film include Teja Kasarapu, Pooja Kiran, Anusha Nuthula, Shruti Meher and Sanjay Ratha.

The trailer is already a hit with audiences, clocking nearly 8 lakh hits in less a day. For a film that has no familiar face apart from Suhas, this is quite a feat. Jointly produced by Chashma Films and Noothana Bharathi Films, Family Drama has music by Sanjay and Ajay. Ram Veerapaneni of Mango Mass Media presents the film for which Venkat R Shakamuri has cranked the camera. Given the current scenario with the fears of a third wave of COVID-19 looming, Family Drama may release on OTT. Suhas has also shot for Shiva Kandukuri's Gamanam and is working on Nani, Nazriya-starrer Ante Sundariniki.
