A news of Munmun Dutta and Raj Anadkat’s engagement took the internet by surprise. Now, Munmun has come forward to talk about the same. She clarified whether the news is true or false to a media portal. Munmun and Raj were reportedly dating since 2021, which the Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actors had denied.

Munmun responds

Munmun has responded to the rumours and rather quashed them. She told ETimes TV on text, “This news is RIDICULOUS, Fake and LUDICROUS. Zero ounce of truth in it… And frankly, I don’t want to give my energy to this fake thing that keeps coming up again and again.”

Where the rumours started

News18 reported the engagement news. They reported that the two exchanged rings in an intimate ceremony in Vadodara, Gujarat a few days back. The report suggests that contrary to what Munmun and Raj claim, they have been dating since the latter joined TMKOC as Tapu. It added that most people on sets knew and some were sure that they will end up getting married.

The relationship news

Back in 2021, reports suggested that Raj and Munmun were in a relationship. Back then, both the actors took to Instagram to deny the news. Raj called it ‘cooked up’ stories and asked media to think about the repercussions. He was angry since he was not asked for his consent before the news broke. “All the creative people out there please channelise your your creativity somewhere else it will be helpful to you,” a part of his Instagram post read.

Raj joins TMKOC

Raj had replaced Bhavya Gandhi as Tapu in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah in the year 2017. He played the role of Jethalal and Daya’s son and Champak chacha’s grandson till 2022. Nitish Bhaluni is currently seen in the role. Meanwhile, Munmum, who is one of the highlights of the show with Dilip Joshi, continues to play Babita Ji on the show, while he is seen as the iconic Jethalal.
