The Kapil Sharma Show is one of the most popular comedy shows in the country wherein celebrities often arrive to grace the show. Hosted by comedian, actor Kapil Sharma, this show features comedians including Sumona Chakravarti, Kiku Sharda, Chandan Prabhakar, Krushna Abhishek, Bharti Singh, and Rochelle Rao.
Recently, veteran actor Govind Namdev graced the show along with actors Sayaji Shinde, Jimmy Shergill, Raza Murad, Indraneil Sengupta, and Abhimanyu Singh to promote their upcoming film, Aazam. Confirming the development, a promo of the upcoming episode was shared online by Sony TV.
In the upcoming comical saga, we saw comedian Krushna Abhishek crack a joke on the ongoing differences between his uncle, actor Govinda, and himself. Speaking in detail, Krushna began the conversation by cheekily teasing and flirting with actor Govind Namdev. While sitting on the handrest of the couch, Krushna smilingly told Govind: “Acha hai aapka naam Govind hai, agar Govinda hota toh hum logon ki itni baat-cheet nahi hoti (Your name is Govind. Had it been Govinda, we would not have had such a conversation).” However, this development has not gone down well for Govinda’s fans.
For those unaware, the differences erupted between the two when Govinda’s wife Sunita was offended by Krushna’s wife Kashmera Shah's 2018 tweet in which the actor talked about ‘people who dance for money’. Sunita believed it was a dig at Govinda – who is known for his slapstick performances and apt dancing skills.
Govinda is a veteran Bollywood star who ruled over the box office during the 1980s. He is best known for his works in films like Raja Babu (1994), Coolie No. 1 (1995), Andolan (1995), Hero No. 1 (1997), Deewana Mastana (1997), Dulhe Raja (1998), Bade Miyan Chote Miyan (1998), Anari No.1 (1999) and Jodi No. 1 (2001).
It has been about five years since the debacle. Though the spark of tensions has not died down yet, both Govinda and Krushna have moved on in their respective careers.
