Munawar Faruqui was trying to troll Mannara Chopra for calling herself the female winner of Bigg Boss 17

Munawar Faruqui tried to troll Mannara Chopra through his live interaction. However, it looks like the comedian ended up trolling himself by using Aoora as an example. He called Aoora an NRI, while Aoora is actually a Korean resident residing in India. Interestingly, Aoora accepted the NRI tag as well (most probably as a joke).
Munawar calls Aoora ‘NRI winner’ of Bigg Boss 17
While trying to troll Mannara, Munawar said that Aoora, who was the wild card contestant on Bigg Boss 17, was the NRI winner of the show. This was in response to Mannara calling herself the female winner of the Salman Khan-hosted show. Munawar further said that Navid Sole was the runner-up in the NRI category.
Fact check: Munawar wrong with both Aoora and Navid
NRI means non-resident Indian. It is referred to an Indian who is residing outside the country. Aoora, however, is a Korean resident who is staying in Mumbai as an aspiring Bollywood singer-actor. Navid, on the other hand, is London-based and has Italian-Persian parents.
Aoora accepts the tag
Soon after Munawar’s live, Aoora accepted the tag. He changed his Instagram bio to ‘Bigg Boss 17 NRI winner category.’ The K-Pop singer became a sensation in India through his performances at live events. He also became the first Korean to enter Indian Bigg Boss, and it began with the Hindi version.
Aoora mocks Ankita-Vicky
Aoora last made headlines when during an interview, he mocked Ankita Lokhande and Vicky Jain’s marriage. He pretended that Ankita gets insecure with Vicky so that he can convince her with more money and luxury items. After the act, if Vicky continues his behaviour, Ankita turns a blind eye to it. While mocking their relationship, Aoora has maintained that he is fond of Ankita and she helped him a lot in the house. He learned how to meditate thanks to her and the two sat for the exercise every morning.
