Faadu - A Love Story: This is how Saiyami Kher and Pavail Gulati are connected

Since the trailer of the upcoming web series Faadu - A Love Story dropped, everyone is appreciating the chemistry of the new on-screen pair Saiyami Kher and Pavail Gulati. They are playing the protagonist of the show as Abhay and Manjiri. 

The love story is shown in a very real fashion, Saiyami tells OTTplay. She also shares how the character is similar to who she is as a person. The actress also reveals the real reason behind bonding with her co-star Pavail. 

Saiyami told OTTplay, "Though it was the first time that I and Pavail were working together, one of the common factors between us was, we both come from the Anurag Kashyap film school; as in we both worked with Anurag. So, I knew some kind of sensibility matching is going to happen with the kind of cinema we love. Then from the time we started talking, we hit it off so well that there is a huge comfort that we have as co-stars as well as friends. He is a very giving actor and we had a great time working on the show." 

Both Saiyami and Pavail have worked with Anurag in different films. Saiyami worked in Choked which was Anurag’s directorial venture. Pavail, on the other hand, worked with the filmmaker in the anthology Ghost Stories and Dobaaraa. 

According to the actress, Manjari is one of the characters she ever played who is very close to who she is in real life. It is almost like playing herself on the screen. 

Drawing the similarities, Saiyami said, "Oh there are a lot of similarities between me and Manjiri. I come from Nasik, she is also from a small town in the Konkan region; I love poetry and classical music; as she does. Being a small-town girl, she comes to study in St. Xavier's College, and so did I. That way it was one of the characters I have played so far who has so many similarities that I have in real life." 

Directed by Ashwini Iyer Tiwari, the series Faadu - A Love Story is all set to release on SonyLiv on December 9.
