F3 box office collection day 1: Career-best opener for Venkatesh and Varun Tej; film moves past the half-million dollar mark in US

F3, the sequel to F2: Fun and Frustration, starring Venkatesh, Varun Tej, Mehreen Pirzada, Tamannaah in the lead, has opened on a strong note in all areas, thanks to strong word of mouth. The Anil Ravipudi directorial proved to be a much needed comic relief for audiences amid of a flurry of commercial entertainers with an overdose of action and intensity.

The film has already moved past the $500K mark in the US, inclusive of the collections from the premiere day and half-way into day 1 across the country. In Telugu states, F3 collected a little over Rs 10 crore. In the Uttarandhra region, the comic caper has garnered Rs 1.18 crore, the best opener in the regions for both Varun Tej and Venkatesh.

The Nizam area has also turned out to be a goldmine for the producers - the film is off to a great start on day 1, earning over Rs 4 crore - also the career-best for both of its male leads. On the whole, the film is expected to collect around Rs 14 crore share on its opening day, a terrific number bolstered by the wonderful reception all around.

Sunil, Ali, Pragathi Suresh, Y Vijaya, Annapurnamma, Rajendra Prasad, Vennela Kishore, Pradeep, Tulasi and Goparaju Ramana play supporting roles in F3. The film had music by Devi Sri Prasad and was edited by Timmaraju. Sai Sriram had cranked the camera for the same. SonyLIV has bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights.
