Composer Harris Jayaraj is an eternal favourite among Telugu crowds for his consistently appealing music albums over the years. From Vasu to Orange to Sainikudu, Ghajini, Neevalle Neevalle and Cheli, he has many musical hits under his belt. Irrespective of the response to the films in theatres, his music has captivated audiences over the years and enjoyed great shelf life.
He is returning to Telugu cinema after a sabbatical with Extra Ordinary Man, Nithiin’s upcoming film directed by popular writer Vakkantham Vamsi. Sreeleela plays the female lead in the film produced under Sreshth Movies, the home banner of actor Nithiin. The light-hearted entertainer, where the star is supposedly playing a junior artiste, releases this December 23.
The first single from the film, Danger Pilla, was launched this Wednesday. Armaan Malik has crooned for the number lyricised by Krishnakanth and choreographed by Sekhar (master). This is exactly the soothing, breezy track one would expected from a melody-specialist like Harris Jayaraj. While it’s technically a slow-paced dance number, Armaan’s rendition infuses life into the composition.
Sekhar’s choreography for Danger Pilla is quite apt, where his moves make the most of the song’s strengths. With two capable dancers like Nithiin, Sreeleela and the impressive cinematography, the song, shot amidst scenic foreign locales, registers a strong impact. For a versatile lyricist like Krishnakanth, Danger Pilla is a walk in the park with trendy yet meaningful lines.
The opening lines ‘Arey Black and White-u Seethakoka Chilukava..Cheekatlo Thiragani Minugurutalukuva..Okka Mullu Kuda Lene Leniroja Puvva’ do well to establish the mood of the song. Rao Ramesh, Sampath, Sudhev Nair, Brahmaji, Rohini, Harsha Vardhan, Srikanth Iyengar, Pavithra Lokesh, Hari Teja, Jagadeesh, Hyper Aadhi play other key roles in the film. Sai Sriram is the cinematographer and Prawin Pudi is the editor.
