Some say actors cannot be friends, but of course, not everyone subscribes to that school of thought. Case in point: Nawazuddin Siddiqui and his Gangs of Wasseypur co-star Vineet Kumar Singh.

Singh, who had played the breakout role of Danish Khan in the two-part Anurag Kashyap directorial, spoke exclusively to OTTPlay. During our video chat, he spoke at length about his passion for cinema and the kind of actors he admires, and filmmakers he would like to work with.

When we asked him to list his favourite OTT web shows, Vineet was quick to share the details.

“From India, I really loved Sacred Games Season 1; Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story, and my own Rangbaaz 3 (laughs!). But, yes, there will be more of such wonderful stories to watch,” he shared with us.

When asked about the kind of content he likes from the global space, Vineet shared that Millie Bobby Brown’s Stranger Things tops that chart.

“I really liked Stranger Things, Breaking Bad and Narcos. I also liked The Irishman... Bohot lambi list hai! (The list is really long),” said the actor.

Quiz him about his own inspirational journey and his fans’ desire to see a biopic being made on his life, and the actor gives a candid response.

“I never thought of it that way (blushes!) For me, I feel like I have just started. I believe that my career started after Mukkabaaz in 2018. Uske pehle homework tha (Before that movie, it was just homework for me),” concluded the star.

Vineet Kumar Singh is making headlines for his gangster drama Rangbaaz: Darr Ki Rajneeti (also knows as Rangbaaz 3) which is now streaming on Zee5.
