Exclusive! Vikram Chatterjee on Raima Sen: She is the coolest co-actress I have ever worked with

Vikram Chatterjee and Raima Sen’s psychological thriller Roktokorobi was dropped on Zee5 on February 3. Directed by Sayantan Ghosal and created by Sahana Dutta of Missing Screw, the web series features, Shantilal Mukherjee, Tulika Basu, Angana Roy, Laboni Sarkar, and others. In the show, Vikram plays the character of a psychologist, Satyaki, who encounters a setback in his career. On the other hand, Raima plays the character of Ranjha – Satyaki’s sister-in-law – who tries to help him regain his lost confidence after the setback. 

Vikram is overjoyed to get Raima as his colleague. He said that despite her family background and the large bank of work, the actress seems to have no baggage. Elaborating on this, Vikram said, “She is the coolest co-worker I have ever worked with. I am not calling her one of the coolest actresses but ‘the coolest’ person I worked with. She has worked with a number of the finest directors in a series of brilliant films. She comes from a very reputed family and yet when she enters the set she has no baggage.”

Meanwhile, Vikram also revealed that Raima was the ‘prankster’ in the team. “Despite the grueling schedule, Raima used to make us laugh by pulling pranks either on me or someone else. Usually, I am the grumpy one on the set. I take my work very seriously and hence become a very grumpy person. Raima made sure to make me laugh and break the seriousness,” he said. Vikram also admitted that he was often annoyed but it is Raima’s rule that finally worked in favour of everyone. “Initially, I was slightly irritated. If it was someone not as senior as her, I would have asked them to stop. But I could not tell her a work. Later I realised that her strategy was perfect. We had 31 days of a long shooting schedule. It was very exhausting given the intensity of the content, we all were very involved in the show. There I realised how Raima was right to lighten things up. She was the stressbuster. I really enjoyed working with her,” said Vikram.
