Exclusive: Theatrical rights of Guntur Kaaram sold for a bomb, deets inside

Guntur Kaaram is one of the most awaited films as Mahesh Babu has teamed up with Trivikram Srinivas after almost a decade. The film's shoot is almost completed and will be released on January 14, 2024, as a Sankranthi special. Sreeleela is playing the female lead in this film which also has Meenakshi Chaudhary and Ramya Krishna in key roles.

Well, we at OTTplay have exclusively learned that the theatrical rights of the film have been sold for a whopping Rs 120. This amount is the highest ever for a Mahesh Babu film to date and shows what kind of buzz this film has created all over. 

As Trivikram has teamed up with Mahesh Babu, the craze for the film has gone to the next level in the last few months. Haarika & Haasine Creations are bankrolling the film and one of the producers, Naga Vamsi has been talking about the film so much for the last few days.

Naturally, the distributors have spent a lot of money on bagging the rights to the film. Apart from the theatrical rights, the nontheatrical rights have also fetched the makers a huge amount. The OTT rights itself have fetched the makers close to Rs 50 crores.

Once Mahesh Babu wraps up Guntur Kaaram, he will start working on his film with Rajamouli. The film is an adventure drama that will be produced by KL Narayana. MM Keeravani will score the music and the casting is yet to begin. 

On the other hand, Thaman, who is in the news for his new film Skanda has scored music for Guntur Kaaram and the first song will be out by the end of this month and it will be a romantic number. Watch this space for more updates.
