Exclusive: Star producer bags the Telugu rights of Ranbir Kapoor's Animal for a whopping price

Sandeep Reddy Vanga made heads turn with his debut film Arjun Reddy. He remade the same film as Kabir Singh in Hindi and gave Shahid Kapoor his first Rs 200 crore hit at the box office. Well, he is back now with his latest film 'Animal' featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles. 

The film is all set to release on December 1, 2023. Well, the action drama will also be released in Telugu and there is a solid buzz for the film as Sandeep has a solid fan following among the youth in Telugu states thanks to Arjun Reddy and the impact it created on everyone.

Going back in time, Ranbir Kapoor's Brahmastra made good business with its Telugu version which was presented by Rajamouli. So, Animal will also open big in Telugu states and the trade is expecting some big numbers from the Telugu release. Seeing all this, there is a solid demand for the theatrical rights of this film in Telugu. 

We at OTTplay have now exclusively learned that star producer Dil Raju has bought the theatrical rights for the entire Telugu states for a massive price. The news is that Dil Raju got to see a few rushes of the film and loved it completely. As he has a lot of confidence in director Sandeep Reddy, he gambled big and bought the entire rights for the Telugu states.

Dil Raju is the king of distribution and is known to bag big films in the Telugu states and earn big money out of it. From Baahubali to RRR, he has bought the rights of several Telugu biggies and now, he has set his eyes on Animal which is a crime drama made on a massive scale.

The action drama is done with its shoot and the post-production is currently. Due to the delay in the post-production, Animal was postponed. It was supposed to be released in September 2023 initially. Watch this space for more updates on Animal.
