Exclusive! Sayani Gupta: Blessed despite COVID-19 crisis, we decided to make Four More Shots Please! Season 3 wonderful

Actress Sayani Gupta plays one of the four lead girls in the Amazon Prime Video original web series, Four More Shots Please. She is seen in the role of Damini, a media personality who is also an author dealing with the ups and downs in her professional and personal life. While interacting with OTTplay, the actress revealed why the upcoming season of the series is very special for her. 

Sayani said, “There will be more drama. It's going to be spunkier, sassier and all the more good-looking.” 

She also recalled, “We shot the show in some of the beautiful parts of Punjab, Italy and also in Mumbai. All of our characters are going through so much introspection as they are taking a step back and they are really looking within and showing each other the mirror. As time is passing, these characters are growing up too. As you mature, you learn to accept the people that you become with experiences. So, all the girls are now older and hopefully wiser except for Siddhi (laugh). But I must mention that this is going to be one of my favorite seasons of FMSP!” 

According to Sayani the pandemic has changed every individual and it has changed her as an artist too. However, she also mentioned that after the first lockdown, when she geared up to shoot, the show was the only motivation to wake up every day. 

She said, “I think we all have gone through a lot of emotional losses during the pandemic and shooting was getting cancelled everywhere. There were so many turmoils. But finally, when all of us met for the shoot, we had so much gratitude to be alive and having a job. We know so many people across the globe have lost their only livelihood. So, our heart was filled with joy just by realising the basics are all intact in so many aspects of our lives. Finally, when we met, we were like listen, we have this show and let's make it the most wonderful one. We came back on the job with a renewed energy.” 

"Throughout the season 3 of our show, the audiences will notice a subliminal growth for not just the characters but also the texture of the narrative (has evolved beautifully)," shared Sayani.   

The story of the show revolves around four women - Damini, Umang, Anjana and Siddhi. They come from different walks of life and their strong friendship keeps them united in thick and thin. 

Directed by Joyeeta Patpatia, Four More Shots Please! season 3, featuring Sayani Gupta, Kirti Kulhari, Maanvi Gagroo and Bani J, will release on October 21 on Prime Video.
