If the theatrical release of Salaar on September 28 has been deemed as one of the main highlights of the year 2023, the release of the teaser of Salaar has managed to find similar stature among movie buffs. Well, luckily for us and everyone emotionally invested in the latter, the wait has finally come to an end.
Following countless speculations and an insane amount of chatter that ranged from excitement to disappointment, the maiden teaser of Salaar is set to drop on July 6 at 5:12 am. Yes, 5:12 AM.
And quite fascinatingly the time of this delivery of the first visual glimpse of the world of Salaar has caught the attention of social media users. Many of them, much like I did, seem to have checked the announcement details at least a couple of times to confirm that it is indeed 'am' and not 'pm'.
A few have already voiced their ardent support and declared they would go rather sleepless the previous night instead of missing the teaser when it drops, while a few others are still scratching their heads in a weird blend of excitement and perplexion.
In fact, it has even sparked a small fest of its own in the Twitter comments section! One of the users said that he hadn't woken up as early as 5 am even during his exams and another wondered if '5:12' was a way of countering Baahubali: The Conclusion's Hindi box office collections of Rs. 512 crores (approx.)
And it took a post from Karthik Gowda (Salaar, Dhoomam, KGF 2 etc. executive producer) himself to substantiate that, indeed, it will be an early-to-rise affair for the patrons, stressing firmly on the 'AM' part. OTTplay spoke to Karthik on behalf of all the 'Why early morning?' queriers for a quick clarification on this and he said:
"It's just that at both Hombale Films and KRG Studios, we believe in timing. And in every case, it is Vijay Kiragandur sir who takes the call on matters such as this and we follow this process in every single case," shares Karthik Gowda.
