In exactly a month, the much-awaited Salaar Ceasefire will release in theatres. The Prashant Neel directed film, which has Prabhas in the lead had been pushed ahead from September 28 to December 22, following delays in the post-production, specifically VFX. So far, the only glimpse that the makers gave audiences was with the teaser that came out months ago, but even that did not have a proper shot of Prabhas. Fans have been eagerly waiting for the day when they will finally see just how Prabhas looks and carries off his role in Salaar, beyond just the posters of the film. That day is December 1, when the trailer drops at 19.19 pm. The big question on everyone’s mind has been if the production banner Hombale Films will have an event for the trailer launch.
OTTplay checked in with Hombale Films co-founder Chaluve Gowda about the possibility of an on-ground event for the mega occasion. There have been rumours that the banner would have an event in Bengaluru, much like what they’d done for both KGF: Chapter 1 and 2, for which representatives from media houses across the country were flown in. The assumption was that since Hombale Films is Bengaluru-based, the event would be in the city, but there were others who said that it would be in Hyderabad, in keeping with the fact that Salaar is a Telugu film that is being dubbed in other languages and that it is Prabhas’ homeground.
Well, set all speculation aside. Chaluve Gowda has now informed us that there will not be an on-ground event for the trailer launch, either in Bengaluru or Hyderabad. The trailer launch of Salaar Ceasefire will be online only on December 1, he said. “No on ground event planned for trailer launch. All are busy right now. Interviews will happen only post 1st Dec,” he responded to our query. Chaluve had told us earlier also that the on-ground promotions of Salaar, specifically the interviews with cast and crew, will begin after December 1, as that is when everyone, including director Prashant Neel will be available. The team, he had said, will travel to major cities across the country for promotions, details of which will be shared shortly.
