Exclusive! Ritabhari Chakraborty: Ranbir Kapoor wishes to watch Brahma Janen Gopon Kommoti

After two years of a lull due to the pandemic, Durga Puja this year was an elaborate celebration for Bengalis. Actress Ritabhari Chakraborty left no stone unturned to explore the festivity season. After spending the initial Puja days in Kolkata, the actress travelled to Thrissur, Kerala, to attend a family Puja of a jewellery brand that she represents as a brand ambassador. Along with the actress, Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, R Madhavan, Prabhu Ganesan, Nagarjuna, Arun Vijay, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Nivin Pauly, and Priyadarshan were in attendance. 

In a candid chat with OTTplay, Ritabhari shared her interaction with Ranbir. She said that their conversation went into exploring the different cultural aspects of India. “As the Navratri Puja was happening, I explained to Ranbir how Durga Puja is similar yet different from this Puja. He expressed how he stays respectful towards different cultures in India. I told him how my film Brahma Janen Gopon Kommoti has helped me learn the different rituals of the Pujas. He got interested in the title as it sounds similar to his film Brahmastra and he promised that he would give it a watch. He said he would get back to me after watching it,” revealed the actress. 

Meanwhile, Ritabhari and Katrina also had a word. “She asked me about my health and I was humbled to learn that she was aware of my surgery,” said the actress, adding, “It was my first interaction with Madhavan and he asked me about my school and 84 children whom I take care of in the school. Also, something very funny happened when we were leaving. In the lift, I was looking for my manager Maddy (Madhuja) and I called her name. Madhavan replied to me thinking I was calling him. It was hilarious. I explained to him about the confusion over their names,” Ritabhati said.
