Actress Ridhi Dogra, who is now in the news for making her Bollywood debut with the upcoming animal vigilante film Lakadbaggha, also got an opportunity to work with her favourite actor, Shah Rukh Khan. In an exclusive conversation with OTTplay, the actress recalls the day she first worked with the Bollywood superstar.

With a beautiful smile on her face, Ridhi says, “Of course, Shah Rukh was the only reason to do Jawan. I mean, obviously! I cannot openly talk about my role in the film yet, but I can say that what I did in the film is actually a bit of a risk that I took. I do not know how it will pan out but haan, panga toh main ne le liya hai. Also, I must mention that Atlee met me twice personally, because I had a few doubts about some of the scenes and we had a fruitful discussion. He is such a big filmmaker and then it is an SRK film - a huge one. Let it come out first, and then we can sit down and talk about Jawan. It is time for Lakadbaggha now.”

However, when she is pushed a little more to share her experience of working with Shah Rukh, Ridhi blushed saying, “I had a different life before I worked with SRK, and then I changed completely after working with him. I have changed as an artist after I had my first shoot with him on June 20, 2022. Main bhool nahi sakti woh din when I worked with the magical star. But yes, I should not be speaking more about that project now, I can go on and on, but no, please, let the right time come.” Jawan is directed by celebrated south Indian filmmaker Atlee. It also features actors Vijay Setupathu and Nayanthara, along with Shah Rukh in a dual role.

In Lakadbaggha, on the other hand, Ridhi is playing an investigating officer, named Akshara D’Souza, and the actress also mentioned that she learned martial art form Krav Maga, as part of the preparation. Directed by Victor Mukherjee, the film also features Milind Soman and Paresh Pahuja among other actors. Lakadbaggha releases on January 13 in the theatre.
