Exclusive! Rahul Banerjee at Priyanka Sarkar’s birthday bash: We are getting better with each other

It was Priyanka Sarkar’s birthday the December 31 and the team of her upcoming film Manabjamin threw a gala party at a city hotel. Along with the members of the Tollywood fraternity, Priyanka Sarkar’s estranged husband Rahul Arunodoy Banerjee also paid a quick visit before he headed to his theatre performance. The duo posed together with their son, Shohoj, before he left. 

Later, while talking to OTTPlay, Rahul said, “I wanted to drop by and wish her a very happy birthday. I had to leave because I was performing on stage after 12 years.” Regarding the status of the relationship between him and his estranged wife, Rahul said, “Things are getting better between us.”

Meanwhile, the party saw several celebrities letting their hair down. Musician and composer of the film Manabjamin Joy Sarkar was seen hitting the dance floor. Director Srijato was also seen enjoying the party. Srabanti Chatterjee, Dhrubo Banerjee, Ushasie Chakraborty, and many other Tollywood celebrities were spotted at the do.

Meanwhile, Rahul took state at the theatre festival hosted by Iccheymoto. He performed Maddy. It was his first stage performance after 12 years. He last performed in Bratya Basu’s Ashalin.  

Rahul and Priyanka tied the knot in 2010. In 2013, their son Shohoj was born. In 2017, the duo parted ways, and their differences took an ugly turn with media reports and blame games. After a series of legal fights, they are spotted together again. Priyanka maintained that her only motto is to offer Shohoj a peaceful life. 

Directed by Srijato, Manabjamin features Parambrata Chatterjee, Priyanka, Paran Bandyopadhyay and others. The film will be released on January 6.
