Exclusive: Priyadarshi commences shoot for the second season of THIS hit show

Leading Telugu banner Annapurna Productions entered the digital space with a bang in 2020 with the sports anthology Loser, directed by first-time filmmaker Abhilash Reddy. Starring Priyadarshi, Shashank, Kalpika Ganesh, Abhay Bethiganti and Pavani Gangireddy in key roles, the sports drama revolving around the life of three sportspersons (in cricket, air-rifle shooting and tennis) came without any hype or hullabaloo and won many hearts with its refreshing storytelling. Now, we hear the OTT platform has given a green signal for the second season of the Telugu show.

"Loser marked my debut in the OTT space and the show offered me a scope to experiment with a genre I had never attempted before. I can't be happier to share that the show will have a second season. We have already commenced shooting for the project," Priydarshi told OTTplay. The show will also feature theatre actor Satya Bhagat in a key role. It's yet to be known if the principal cast of the earlier season will be retained for the sequel.

Apart from Loser 2, Priyadarshi will be seen in Sharwanand's Oke Oka Jeevitham, Prabhas' epic-romance Radhe Shyam besides Venkatesh-Varun Tej's multi-starrer F3. He was seen in aha's In the Name of God and Mail earlier this year. Speaking on OTT trends, the actor had said, "OTT content, I have realised, takes time to grow on people. The gratification is not always instant, unlike films. There will always be an audience who'll be willing to watch the content many months after release."
