Nawazuddin Siddiqui has been making headlines for his latest outing, Heropanti 2, in which he plays the main antagonist, Laila. The Tiger Shroff and Tara Sutaria starrer is Nawaz's theatrical release after two years. In an exclusive interaction with OTTplay, the actor was asked if the audience's perception had changed after consuming content on OTT for two years.

Nawazuddin told us, "No, I don't think it has changed. I actually thought that the world's movie-watching experience would change during the pandemic. But nothing of the sort has happened. I can't say anything. Let people watch whatever they want. Who am I to say, 'Watch this and watch that?'"

A few months back, the Serious Men actor mentioned that he might never return to OTT. When asked about the same, he said, "I won't do web series because their quality has degraded. Speaking of web films, I will do them because their quality has been maintained. But the quality of the web series has been destroyed. I think TV series have better quality than web series."

So what kind of content does Nawazuddin like to watch on OTT? To which he said, "There's nothing fixed. It should be good entertainment to watch. I am not strict about watching a family show or anything, but it should be of good quality."

Talking about OTT stars, the actor is all praise for Sakshi Tanwar and Shefali Shah. He stated, "After a long time, I have heard mind-blowing things about an actor named Sakshi Tanwar, who recently featured in Mai. For five to six years, I have heard so much good stuff about female actors who have done great jobs. Even Shefali Shah is a wonderful actor to watch out for."

In conclusion, Nawaz revealed that he doesn't look back on his two-decade long journey. "I never think about how my journey has been over the years. I will keep on doing good work and never look back. One should look forward to it, and it would be stupid of me to think about my journey," he said.

While being quizzed about any role which the actor feels he hasn't played onscreen, Nawaz went on to say, "I am a very fortunate actor, and people in this industry want to see me in very different roles. There's nothing greater than this for any actor."

After Heropanti 2, Nawazuddin will next be seen in Tiku Weds Sheru, opposite Avneet Kaur. The film marks the debut of Kangana Ranaut as a producer under her home banner, Manikarnika Films.
