Exclusive! Naveen Chandra pins his hopes on Month of Madhu, helmed by Bhanumathi Ramakrishna director Srikanth Nagothi

Naveen Chandra has always been treated as a dark horse in the industry but his humility, persistence and commitment towards his job have brought him where he is today. While he was launched in a memorable romance like Andaala Rakshasi, it was films like Nenu Local, Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava and Bhanumathi Ramakrishna (later changed as Bhanumathi and Ramakrishna) that proved his versatility as a performer. His next film with Bhanumathi Ramakrishna director Srikanth Nagothi is titled Month of Madhu.

While the first poster of Month of Madhu was officially launched recently, the film, where Naveen Chandra has teamed up with Swathi Reddy, has already wrapped up shoot. This is the second film for the duo after the horror-comedy Tripura. "People still love me for Andaala Rakshasi today, but if I think there's one film that'll change that, it is Month of Madhu. I am very confident of its prospects," Naveen shares.

Month of Madhu is an intense relationship drama that spans across multiple decades and is shot amid picturesque locales. "I owe my progress as an actor to new, upcoming directors. When I work with them, I ask them to milk my potential to the fullest. I will be seen in multiple looks throughout the film. The film will mark a new phase as an actor for Swathi Reddy and I'm sure audiences will look at her in a new light after its release."

The film is currently undergoing post-production and will be a theatrical release. The makers have shown the promos, rushes of Month of Madhu to select crowds and they're very happy with the feedback. Month of Madhu may release in the next two months. Shreya Navile and Harsha Chemudu also play crucial roles. Month of Madhu is bankrolled by Yaswanth Mulukutla while Achu Rajamani is the composer. Rajeev Dharavath is the cinematographer.

Bhanumathi Ramakrishna, the earlier collaboration between Naveen Chandra and director Srikanth Nagothi, released directly on aha. The actor's next release is Parampara Season 2 on Disney+ Hotstar
