Mollywood actor Sudev Nair accomplished his long-time dream of collaborating with Mohanlal last year, when he teamed up with the superstar for director Vysakh’s Monster, which is currently in its post-production phase.
Sudev along Honey Rose and Telugu actress Lakshmi Manchu, who makes her Malayalam debut with the film, will be seen playing pivotal roles in the movie, which marks the second collaboration of the Pulimurugan team of Mohanlal, director Vysakh and scriptwriter Udaykrishna.
Talking about Monster, Sudev, in an exclusive interview with OTTplay, says, “It’s not exactly an investigative thriller . It has a few genres mixed in it and Vysakh has pulled it off brilliantly. Working with Lalettan has been my childhood dream and that’s something I have finally achieved with in the film.”
The actor also talked about how working with Mohanlal has been a great learning experience for him and how the superstar makes it easier for his co-stars. “There was a scene where I was restless because of something that was going on in my mind. Lalettan came up to me and patted my back to make me relaxed as the scene required my character to be calm,” says the State-award winning actor.
Sudev, meanwhile, will next be seen in Mammootty’s Bheeshma Parvam, which is set to release on March 3. The film, which is directed by Amal Neerad, is a gangster thriller set in 1986 and Sudev plays a role with grey shades in it.
He also plays the antagonist in two other period films that are due for release this year – Rajeev Ravi’s Thuramukham, which also has Nivin Pauly, Indrajith Sukumaran and Joju George, and Vinayan’s Pathonpathaam Noottaandu, which has Siju Wilson, Kayadu Lohar and Chemban Vinod Jose. Sudev is also part of Asif Ali’s Kothth and Tovino Thomas-starrer Vazhakku, which is directed by Sanal Kumar Sasidharan.
