Exclusive! Misty Singh on celebrating her birthday with underprivileged children: It was a refreshing feeling

It was her birthday and television actress Misty Singh specially celebrated the day. The Alta Phoring -actress travelled to South Barasat to meet and feast with a group of underprivileged children. Misty went to the hostel, which is run by her father, in the morning. She treated the children to goodies, cut cake, and had lunch with them. 

Misty – one of the popular faces on TV – celebrated her birthday on October 25. She went to Mass Education – an NGO that hosts nearly 1,000 underprivileged children and educates them. “Every year I celebrate my birthday with my friends, co-actors, and family members. We party and make merry. This year my father suggested that I spend the day a little differently. When I went there it was a lovely feeling. For them, getting a small gift or enjoying cakes is a big deal. I really enjoyed seeing them so excited. I cut multiple cakes and distributed the cakes among them. I served them lunch and took photos with them. It was a lovely feeling and I really enjoyed the day,” the actress said. 

After spending the day with the children, Misty's friends surprised her in the evening. “It was also a day of Kali Puja and Diwali. Some of my friends came over. Again I cut some more cakes. It is a special day for me and my family members and friends make it special. This year, everything was extra special because I spent the day with this bunch of kids,” she said. 

Misty plays Phoring’s sister-in-law in Aalta Phoring. Her character is a staunch supporter of Phoring and she stands by the gymnast heroine whenever the other family members plot against her. Alta Phoring is one of the leading serials on Star Jalsha. Misty is a regular face on the channel. She was part of Sonamoni Saha-Pratik Sen’s Mohor also.
