Right from the day the teaser of Shaitan was revealed, the series became a hot topic of discussion. Be it the curse words or the intense action did not go well with many. But that did not stop the series from becoming a hit. Shaitan was released on June 15th on Hotstar and it has now become one of the most-watched shows ever in the regional space and the makers are thrilled with this feat.

Shaitan is created and directed by Mahi V Raghav, who is high on the success of yet another show Save The Tiger which was streamed on Hotstar as well. Mahi is a very talented director who is balancing both his OTT and film career parallelly. Now, we have come to know from him exclusively that he has also locked the script of Shaitan 2 and the show will go on the floors later this year.

The same was confirmed by the team in a press interaction as well today. The show is hard-hitting and the audience have loved the emotions that are the reason, the makers felt that the show deserves a sequel to the show, and season 2 is loading soon. Hotstar is super thrilled with the way the show has performed and has asked Mahi V Raghav to all out for the second season.

Shaitan is about a man named Bali who has a tragic childhood and goes all out and becomes a terror to society. The performances of the key cast have been well-appreciated and especially, and Deviyani has been praised for her bold portrayal.

The makers are happy that even after having so much bold content, the audience is loving the show and that is the way to go forward as everyone has an individual choice to consume content and Shaitan 2 will take things higher in that aspect.
