Exclusive: Love, Sex Aur Dhokha 2 director Dibakar Banerjee not worried ahead of film’s release? Here is what he has to say

Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2 – a sequel to the 2010 film Love Sex Aur Dhokha, will be released theatrically on April 19. Directed by Dibakar Banerjee and backed by Ekta Kapoor, this adult film focuses on the theme of ‘love in the times of the internet’. With just two days remaining for the film’s release, the filmmaker expressed whether he feels worried about the outcome of the film.

Dibakar Banerjee ‘not worried’ of LSD 2’s outcome

About a week ago, Ekta Kapoor expressed that she is worried about the theatrical response to Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2, especially after facing a lot of negativities on the release of the 2023 film Thank You for Coming. Recently, in a chat with us, Dibakar shared whether he feels worried about the film’s outcome.

Dibakar denied being worried about the film’s outcome and added, “Many times, sadly, I have seen Ekta being trolled on social media. I think Ekta, I and so many others are living the lives of our imagined protagonists on social media. At times, people say we are telling the truth. But there are also times when people call us hypocrites. (I feel) our lives have become films that we are making. So, Ekta, I and all those connected with LSD 2 are in a crazy state of mind right now. Let’s see (what happens).”

CBFC and its views on LSD 2

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has asked for some dialogues to be removed from Dibakar Banerjee's upcoming movie Love Sex Aur Dhokha (LSD) 2. The film will have three segments, with actors Paritosh Tiwari, Bonita Rajpurohit, and Abhinav Singh. It also features Mouni Roy, Anu Malik, Tusshar Kapoor, Swastika Mukherjee, Sophie Choudry and Uorfi Javed. The trailer featured some explicit scenes.
