Exclusive! Kranti star Darshan Thoogudeepa is in awe of THIS film starring Dhanush

Challenging Star Darshan is known to be quite reclusive when he isn't busy acting in a film. By his own admission, once he is done with a project, there is very little left to discuss or divulge and as much as his fans would like to be privy to his private life, the actor would rather want to stay away from the arc lights. And quite successfully, Darshan has managed to create a sense of intrigue about himself over the years and ensured that his stardom is never held at ransom by his fans - aside from the few obligatory media interactions that he is part of, the only other way to meet the superstar is through his movies.

So, does that mean that Darshan becomes completely dissociated from cinema when he isn't working? Turns out that while the DBoss tries his best to focus on his personal life when he is in-between projects, he still manages to squeeze in time to check out some of the latest releases.

In a recent exclusive conversation with OTTplay, Darshan was quizzed about a recent film that charmed him the most. He says, "I don't generally try to keep track of what's happening around me in terms of all the latest releases but I was recommended to watch the Dhanush - Nitya Menen movie Thiruchitrambalam. I must say that I was super impressed by the film and the last 15-20 minutes blew me away. That's one film that has stayed with me."

Thiruchitrambalam is a 2022 Tamil romantic drama written and directed by Mithran R. Jawahar and produced by Kalanidhi Maran under the Sun Pictures banner. The film follows Dhanush's titular character, a delivery agent, who is caught in the clutches of an overbearing father and a love life that involves not one but two women. Thiruchitrambalam was released in theatres on 18 August 2022 and received unanimous praise from critics and audiences alike - the film ended up as a bona fide commercial success.

As far as Darshan is concerned, the actor is gearing up for the release of the high-octane action drama Kranti on 26 January 2023. Darshan reunites with his Yajamana team of director V. Harikrishna and producers B. Suresha and Shylaja Nag for Kranti with Rachita Ram playing the female lead in the film.
