Mikail Gandhi is the protagonist, Sunny Vashist, of the recently released web series Kafas. The series revolves around the fictional story of the sexual harassment of a child actor and how he, along with his parents, deals with the situation to get justice despite huge pressure since the perpetrator of the crime is a superstar.
Mikail has been working in ad films, movies, and web series since he was just six months old. So, OTTplay asked him about his journey and if he had ever faced anything untoward.
Mikail said, "I have been working all my life, but nothing even close to what's happened to my character in Kafas has taken place with me. I am very lucky to have worked with some wonderful people who are very professional. So far, I have only had good experiences. My parents believe that children should be aware of everything from the very beginning. They have spoken to me about sex education, good and bad touch, and more. Now that I am a little older, I appreciate that I was told about all this when I was very young. I am glad that I got to know about everything from my parents very early on rather than being unaware and getting affected negatively."
Kafas is the Indian adaptation of the British show Dark Money. It is produced by Applause Entertainment, directed by Sahil Sangha, and also stars Sharman Joshi, Mona Singh, Mukesh Chhabra, Tejaswi Singh Alhawat, Vivan Bhatena, and Zarina Wahab. It is available to stream on SonyLIV.
