Aparajita Adhya and Anusha Viswanatha’s mother-daughter saga Jol Thoi Thoi Bhalobasha started nine months ago. Ever since, it maintained its position in the 10 10 TRP list. In fact, it largely remained the slot leader at 9 pm on Star Jalsha. However, the promo of Shubho Bibaha – a brand new serial starring Honey Bafna and Sonamoni Saha – suggests that it has the 9 pm slot.
Ever since the promo was dropped, speculation was rife if Jol Thoi Thoi Bhalobasha would be shifted to another slot. However, it is not confirmed that the serial will indeed end. Anusha, who plays Tota – daughter of Kojagori (Aparajita), said that the team received an intimation. “We were told that the serial would come to an end. The last day of the telecast of Jol Thoi Thoi Bhalobasha is on June 16,” she said. However, the last day of shooting is yet to be over.
Furthermore, Anusha could not reveal any reason for the serial to end. “It has been the slot leader most of its time. I guess all serials come to an end after a point. We do not have any idea how and on what note the serial may end,” she said.
Anusha will take a break from TV for a while. “It is still a new development for me. I will not get back on TV immediately. There are films and web series offers that I had to turn down because of the serial schedule. I will make myself available for those,” said the actress.
Meanwhile, Shubho Bibaha will be a comeback serial for Sonamoni after Ekka Dokka. The promo suggests that she is a divorcee. While her family wants her to get married again, she refuses to hide the truth of her divorce. She meets Tej (Honey) at a wedding reception.
