Dhyan Sreenivasan already has a slew of films ready for release including Prakashan Parakatte, Khali Purse of Billionaires and Thrayam, and most recently, he completed the shoot of director Sagar’s Veekam.

The movie, which also has Sheelu Abraham and Dinesh Prabhakar in pivotal roles, is a police thriller, informs the filmmaker, who had earlier collaborated with Dhyan in yet-to-be-released Sathyam Maathrame Bodhipikku.

On Dhyan’s character, the director tells OTTplay, “He plays a forensic surgeon in the film. The hero of the movie is an item that connects the rest of the characters.” Veekam also has Aju Varghese, Jagadish, Dain Davis, G Sureshkumar, Muthumani and Dayyana Hameed as part of the cast.

“Dhyan, Sheelu and Dinesh Prabhakar who play a doctor, an IPS officer and a delivery boy, respectively, are the three main characters. This will probably be the best role that Dinesh ettan has played in his 20-year-old career,” says Sagar, who has also scripted the film that evolves in the backdrop of a medical campus.

The entire movie was shot in Kochi and the team had wrapped up the production a few days ago. Ask him about the plans for the film's release and he says, “The producer will take a call on whether to release it on OTT or theatres. Every filmmaker will want to watch his movie in theatres.”

On the status of Sathyam Maathrame Bodhipikku that has Dhyan playing a police officer, the director says that the team is gearing up to release the film in theatres soon.

Dhyan, meanwhile, is also part of the comic caper Aap Kaise Ho that he has scripted and Joy Full Enjoy, which will go on floors next year.
