Exclusive! Bhuvan Bam on performing action scenes in Taaza Khabar: The script just wanted me to scream in pain

Bhuvan Bam, a YouTube sensation who is now all se for the release of his upcoming series Taaza Khabar, has revealed that playing the role of Vasant Gawde was easy for him because of his Maharashtrian background.

In an exclusive interview with us, Bhuvan said, "I needed to understand Vasya's feelings and responses in many scenarios. Vasya experiences a wide range of emotions in the drama, including despair, greed, lust for power, and selfishness." He added, "I imagined that he must deal with numerous clients every day who speak various languages. He had no distinctive accent, although being a Maharashtrian helped."

He will also be seen performing some action in the show as well. Speaking of his acting preparations for the same, he said: "I had no choice but to let them beat me up besides performing some little workout. However, I asked the makers to at least let me start with a punch so I can get the feel of it and as it is the first time I was performing an action scene so just wanted to show-off a little (Laughs). But honestly, script merely desired that I scream out in pain."

Taaza Khabar, a Hotstar Specials series, is a drama, action, comedy, and romance roller coaster. It also features ‘Satya’ star A.J.D. Chakravarthy, Deven Bhojani of ‘Sarabhai vs Sarabhai’ fame, Shriya Pilgaonkar and Marathi actor Prathmesh Parab. The show is a contemporary story that exposes the advantages and disadvantages of miracles. The series, which was produced by Rohit Raj and Bhuvan Bam under the name BB Ki Vines Productions, will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on January 6, 2023. It is directed by Himank Gaur and written by Hussain & Abbas Dalal.
