Actor Barun Sobti's recently released show, Asur 2, explores the power and harmful effects of artificial intelligence. With many conversations about how ChatGPT and AI can affect human lives in the near future, Barun spoke to OTTplay about why it is important to use these tools responsibly for the greater good.

Barun said, "The struggle is real. Technology, especially AI, gathers a lot of data, and the human mind has limitations when it comes to data collection. I think it is possible for artificial intelligence to create something alarming for human beings. AI is an enormous weapon, and we cannot deny its power. But a powerful weapon like this in the wrong hands is dangerous. Look at the power of social media and see how everyone has a strong opinion. People are saying whatever nonsense they want, and no one can control it. Earlier, things were different."

He added, "Back in the day, there was sophistication and education, and people with in-depth knowledge used to have certain access. Earlier, human interaction was different: the microphone was in the hand of the person who was educated enough to speak. Now, everyone thinks that their opinion is the only right one, and it is getting really dangerous. So, I believe that any advanced technology can be negative and misused if it lands in the wrong hands."

Since every celebrity has a strong fan following online, we asked him if he feels a sense of responsibility whenever he says anything in public.

The Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon actor said, "I feel responsible not just as an actor but as a human being. I always own my words. Therefore, I am very careful of everything I say in public or even the way I interact with people around me. I want to spread positivity and good words. I want to spread kindness. I do not want to say things randomly and later deny them. So, every time I speak to people or post anything on social media, I am conscious of it. I want to create a world where my kids can live comfortably. So, I am the one who has to invest to create that environment."

Asur 2 is available to stream on JioCinema, while Badtameez Dil can be watched on Amazon miniTV.
