Anupam Roy and Sauraseni Maitra will soon be seen together in a music video. Penned and composed by Anupam, the song will be released on Monday from Sa Re Ga Ma. According to the musician, it is a romantic number and part of a four-song project with the label. Meanwhile, Anupam’s song Boka Boka Ei Mon from Arjunn Dutta’s Shrimati was recently released.

Talking about the new song, Anupam said, “It is an independent song and a part of a four-song project. Earlier, I have done another song, Putul Ami, for the label. There will be two more besides the new one. For the video, we needed an actress and hence Saura (Sauraseni Maitra) came in.” Sairaseni has earlier worked on a music video by Hariharan and Bickram Ghosh.

Meanwhile, Anupam has been working on several film songs. His newest song Boka Boka Ei Mon for Shrimati is penned and composed by Soumya Rit. Anupam has also composed music for Kaushik Ganguly’s Ardhangini which features Kaushik Sen, Churni Ganguly, and Jaya Ahsan. Besides, he has also composed music for three films by Eskay Movies – one directed by Raja Chanda and two by Angshuman Pratyush. In fact, a number of films by Eskay were shot in London during the summer.

Anupam has also been busy with a lot of live shows. Talking about the current music scene, Anupam said, “The pandemic left a deep impact on the music industry, especially on those, who are solely dependent on live music. Many musicians were forced to take up other occupations to survive. The scene is gradually changing. There was a time when we only used to perform during fall and winter. Now, live concerts are taking place even in summer. I hope that helps the musicians who bore the brunt of the lockdown for two years.”
