Exclusive! Anirban Bhattacharya, Ritwick Chakraborty, Rudranil Ghosh, Kaushik Sen, and others in Srijit Mukherji’s next?

Srijit Mukherji has no time to respite. The director is currently busy shooting Tekaa – his collaboration with Dev. Besides the superstar, the film also features Swastika Mukherjee, Tota Roy Chowdhury, Rukmini Maitra, and others. Soon after that, Srijit is scheduled to travel to Kashmir with his Feluda team for the second season of Feludar Goyendagiri for Hoichoi. Based on Satyajit Ray’s Feluda novela Bhuswargo Bhoyonkor, the web series will feature Tota, Anirban Chakrabarti, and Kalpan Mitra as Feluda, Jatayu and Topshe.

Meanwhile, the ace director has also started working on an intense drama that, according to sources, will be nothing short of an ensemble extravaganza. If sources are to be believed, the closed-room drama will feature Anirban Bhattacharya, Ritwick Chakraborty, Rudranil Ghosh, Kaushik Sen, Kaushik Ganguly, and others. “Loosely inspired by a ’50s play, Srijit’s drama will explore a conversation-turned-argument between a few people over an incident. There are feamale characters too but the names have not been finalised yet,” said the source. 

Furthermore, the source added, “There have been script-reading sessions earlier this year. However, the film will not go to the floors before June.”

Meanwhile, Srijit’s last year’s blockbuster Dawshom Awbotaar will be dropped on Hoichoi on February 2. The cop universe thriller that features Prosenjit Chatterjee, Anirban Bhattacharya, Jaya Ahsan, and Jisshu U Sengupta, the film was released during Durga Puja last year. In fact, Srijit’s Tekka is also billed as a thriller.
