Shiboprosad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy’s Belashuru which features Anindya Chatterjee as Palash is having a successful run in theatres. From the second week onwards, the film opened in national theatres, including in Mumbai, Chennai and Bangalore. Meanwhile, Anindya's serial Gaatchora on Star Jalsha is also garnering high TRP among the shows. Despite these back-to-back successes, Anindya is still unhappy. Reason: The actor has no OTT project.
“Why should I not get a good role on OTT? My film is running successfully. My serial is topping the TRP chart and yet no director considers me for their OTT projects. As an actor, I want to explore all the mediums. I worked in television and films. This is the right time for me to explore OTT,” Anindya told exclusively to OTTPlay.
Meanwhile, the actor is super happy with Belashuru’s box office collection. “Ever since we worked in Bela Seshe, we became a family. It feels great to share the success story. We shot Belashuru in 2018 and waited a long period for the release. The result is really sweet,” he said. Talking about working with Soumitra Chatterjee and Swatilekha Sengupta, he said, “You learn every moment with them. Working with these two stalwarts is one of the greatest experiences in life.”
Anindya plays the bad boy in Gantchora which features Solanki Roy, Gourab Chatterjee, Shubhrajit Dutta and others in key roles. He is also working with Solanki in Arintra Sen’s Shohorer Ushnotomo Dine. “At the serial set, Solanki and I talk about our film and at the film set, we talk about the film to annoy everybody. In reality, the Gantchora team is full of friends. We are having a good time at work,” the actor said.
Anindya will be travelling to London in June to shoot Pavel’s Somoye Churi which features Ankush, Oindrila Sen, Anirban Chakraborty and others.
