Aneek Dhar, who became a household name after winning Sa Re Ga Ma Pa in 2007, is in the seventh heaven of happiness. Along with his wife Debaleena, they welcomed their second child – a baby boy – on September 11. The musician took to his social media to share the news.
Along with photos of the baby, wife, and daughter, Aadya, Aneek wrote, “Today God has blessed me, Debaleena, and our entire family with a healthy baby boy. Heartfelt love and salutations to God and all our well-wishers. All be well, and pray for us. ~ Aneek Dhar & Family”
While talking to OTTplay, Aneek seemed to be in the seventh heaven. “Before the delivery, I was anxious and continuously prayed to god. There is a mandir nearby and I was there when I was not with Debaleena,” he said.
This time, Aneek was at the OT during the C-section delivery of Debaleena. “Doctors covered the below half so that I don’t get to see blood. But throughout I thought how supremely powerful Debaleena is to be able to bring a new life to the world. When I got to know that I would be a father, I also went through a lot of changes. But that can’t be compared with Debaleena’s journey. I realised that women have the superpower to become mothers. Just before the baby came out I was panicking and suddenly doctor joked, ‘This is the moment, take a wild guess of the gender, Aneek’. And I was like, ‘Please tell me it is a healthy baby. That was all I could think of,” he said.
Aneek and Debaleena have a daughter Aadya, who is 5 years old. “Aadya’s name is derived through our names. We thought of a couple of names for our baby. Our ‘Kulapurahit (family priest)’ will decide on the name. There will be a touch of our names in it. Soon we will announce the name,” he said.
Aneek has cancelled his US tour to be with the baby. "There was a one-and-a-half-month tour with eight to 10 shows. I had to cancel because I did not want to miss the moments with my child during this time," said the musician who is busy composing for Jeet's upcoming film, Manush.
