In an exclusive interview with OTTPlay, Lisa Mishra reacted to the Call Me Bae's season 2 announcement. The singer-actress won hearts with her Harleen character in the series.

Much to the fans' delight, Prime Video announced that the much-anticipated season 2 of Ananya Panday starrer Call Me Bae is in the making. Amid this in an exclusive interview with OTTPlay, Lisa Mishra who played the role of Harleen in the series, reacted the announcement of season 2.

In an interview with us, Lisa Mishra was asked about the release date of season 2 of Call Me Bae. An excited Lisa shared, "No release date. We don’t even know what’s the story is going to be. It will be fun finding out the next few months all of those details and I don’t think we were prepared to know so quickly that this will get renewed."

She further added, "Generally, season announcements take a little bit longer but I am very happy. I don’t think anyone anticipated it would grow to be this big and it would be loved so much so touchwood, we are very very lucky." 

Lisa Mishra praises Ananya Panday

During the conversation, the singer-actress heaped praise on her co-star Ananya Panday. She said that Ananya the kindest person in the film industry. 

"She is so so sweet. She has no ego at all. She walks onto the stage like everybody is equal even though she has done so many films. She is very experienced at this point. You don’t feel hierarchy when you are around her because she did a very good job in making everybody feel welcome. She is an incredible professional," Mishra said. 

In Call Me Bae, we see how Bae and her friends celebrate the success of their campaign of exposing the alleged feminist icon Mukul Sawla (Sahil Shroff) for his horrific crimes. Meanwhile, as expected, Mukul rejects all charges and uses them for political gain. Bae and Tammarrah (Niharika Lyra Dutt) successfully execute the office stakeout, stealing data from Satyajit's (Vir Das) computer. 

On the other hand, Satyajit struggles to think of a plot for his 100th "Confessionals" episode. His entire workplace is brainstorming potential ideas, and who better to brainstorm than his partner and producer Harleen (Lisa Mishra)? She suggests that they should invite Mukul and Bae the two contestants, to the show. At the show, all the corruption of Mukul and Satyajit get revealed.
