Be it his performance as Brajesh Bhan in Jamtara, Navin Kumar in Maharani or Samarth Kaushik in Kathmandu Connection, Amit Sial has always been loved and appreciated by critics and audiences alike.

In a special conversation with OTTplay, the opened up about his way of choosing a project and how the script plays an important role .

Amit told OTTplay, "A great script is important, but I also take other factors into consideration before saying yes to a project. So, a great script is not the only criteria for me. Look, all actors, film directors and writers work hard. But it is important to be in good hands. If a project, be it film or web series, does not get a good release and wide exposure to reach to a wide audience, our work will not grab attention. Even if my character is good in a story, the overall story also has to work, and most importantly, who is the director and my co-stars."

"Even after checking all these, a project might not be as successful as we expect because there is no formula for it. But still, these combinations play an important role in deciding on a project," added the actor, who will be seen in Vipul Shah's action franchise Commando that is extending into a web series.

"I am excited about that project because I haven't tried my hands at the action genre before. I think that it is the fun of being the actor - to be able to explore various things," said Amit.

Amit has also acted in films like Sonchiriya, Raid, Titli and Kuku Mathur Ki Jhand Ho Gayi, to name a few.

Kathmandu Connection, which also features Gopal Datt, Anshumaan Pushkar, Aksha Pardasany, Prashant Narayanan, Harleen Sethi and Anuraag Arora, is currently streaming on SonyLIV.
