Exclusive! After Projapati, Mithun Chakraborty and Mamata Shankar back with Dev?

Dev, along with director Avijit Sen and producer Atanu Roy Chowdhury, presented back-to-back blockbusters. In 2021, they started with Tonic where Dev and Paran Bandyopadhyay’s partnership created magic on screen. The film was appreciated by viewers and critics alike. In December 2022, the actor-director-producer trio presented Projapoti. The film that features Mithun Chakraborty and Dev delves into a story of father and son. Mamata Shankar and Mithun got back together years after Mrinal Sen’s Mrigayaa. Projapati was a super hit film in Bengal. In 2023, they made Pradhan. Paran Bandyopadhyay got back with Dev, along with Anirban Chakrabarti and others. It also recorded success at the box office.

Now, the trio is back with a brand new film. According to sources, Mithun Chakraborty will team up with Dev once again for this film. Furthermore, Mamata Shankar will be a part of the film. After the success of Projapoti, Mamata Shankar and Mithun will be back again. Besides, talks are on with Paran Bandyopadhyay who may also be a part of the project. The actress opposite Dev is yet to be revealed. The name of the film will be unveiled by the first week of July.

The shooting will start in August. According to sources, a long schedule of the shooting will take place in London, UK. As per sources, the cast and crew members will fly to the UK by the end of August. Once the dates are finalised the visa application will take place.

Like every year, this film will also be released in winter. If all goes well, this Christmas, Dev’s film will be released with Shiboprosad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy’s Amar Boss and Srijit Mukherji’s Shotyi Bole Shotyi Kichu Nei. Amar Boss has Rakhee Gulzar, Srabanti Chatterjee, Shiboprosad, Sauraseni Maitra and others. On the other hand, SBSKN features a stellar star cast with Parambrata Chatterjee, Kaushik Ganguly, Anirban Chakrabarti, Kaushik Sen, Arjun Chakrabarty, Sauraseni Maitra, and others.
