Exclusive: After Prabhas, this star heroine approached for the Vishnu Manchu's Bhakta Kanappa

Making a film on Bhakta Kanappa has always been a dream for actor Vishnu Manchu for the longest time. Finally, after years of deliberation, he launched the film on an auspicious note a few days back in Hyderabad. Nupur Sanon will be playing the female lead in this film which will be directed by Mohan Kumar Singh. 

The makers will take the film on floors soon and the pre-production is underway already. A few days back, we at OTTplay reported that none other than the mighty Prabhas has been roped in to play a small role in the film. Vishnu Manchu met Prabhas a few days back and offered him the role of Lord Shiva in the film. As Prabhas shares a very close bond with Vishnu's dad, Mohan Babu, he readily agreed to be a part of the film. 

Well, we have yet another juicy info about this film. We have exclusively learned that the makers have approached star heroine Nayanthara to play a cameo in the film. The news is that this small role will be opposite Prabhas and Vishnu Manchu felt that Nayan would be the perfect choice to play this role. As she is high on the success of Shahrukh Khan's Jawan, Nayan was the obvious choice as well. 

The star heroine is yet to revert back to the makers and if she okays the film, Bhakta Kanappa will be a solid multi-starrer to watch out for in the days to come. Vishnu Manchu is producing Bhakta Kanappa on his 24 Frames Factory and will make it on a budget of close to Rs 100 crores. Legendary writer, Parachuri Gopala Krishna and the latest sensation Sai Madhav Burra have worked on this film's script. 

Most of this film will be shot amidst green mats and foreign technicians will also work on this period drama. The news is also that some known actors from across the country will be seen in key roles. Watch this space for more updates on this film.
