Prime Video and ZEE5 have been renting Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse for the past month. However, now Netflix has announced when the film will finally be available to their subscribers. Yes, the superhero animated film is scheduled to premiere on the leading streaming platform on October 1. This means the film is set for its OTT premiere four months after its theatrical run.
About Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse
In the film, while on his journey through the multiverse, Miles Morales (voiced by Shameik Moore) meets the Spider-People and takes on a supervillain. The film gives a glimpse into how this opportunity helps him grow as a person and as a superhero. He must reimagine the concept of a hero.
Miles Morales and Gwen Stacy (voiced by Hailee Steinfeld), two teenagers, embark on a brand-new adventure where they face off against Jason Schwartzman's evil The Spot and a horde of clones of themselves.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse grossed over Rs 53.20 crore in the first month of its theatrical release. This sum makes the film the most financially successful animated feature ever made in the country.
Global box office:
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse earned $689.3 million around the world. Sony Pictures Animation's highest-grossing feature ever, it took the top spot from The Smurfs after only 12 days in theatres and eclipsed Into the Spider-Verse's total gross of $384.5 million.

Towards the end of the film, it was announced that the third instalment in the Spider-Verse franchise is titled Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse.
