From small budget films to concept-driven fares to big-budget sagas, a flurry of releases are set to test their fortunes the coming weekend. Spark, the action thriller, marking the debut of Vikranth, is one among them. Mehreen Pirzada, Rukshar Dhillon play the female leads in the action thriller produced by Leela Reddy under Deaf Frog Productions. Hesham Abdul Wahab scores the music.
While the songs, trailer and the teaser of Spark have captured the imagination of film buffs already, the team came together to launch another glimpse from the film - Evil Side of Spark - today. The glimpse begins with a villager searching for a woman - Durgi - and is stunned when he ultimately sees her. Later, you get to witness a series of montages from the crucial moments in Spark.
Besides the colour love life of Vikranth, alongside Mehreen and Rukshar, you witness him getting beaten by cops. Later, he showcases his meaner side and the slick action sequences grab your eyeballs. The glimpse ends with a few reaction shots of the pivotal characters. Guru Somasundaram plays the antagonist while Nasser, Vennela Kishore, Suhasini Maniratnam, Satya and Brahmaji too essay important roles.
Umarji Anuradha, Vikranth Reddy, Mahesh and Thottempudi Swamy have jointly written the dialogues for the film which has screenplay and story by Vikranth as well. The makers have spent lavishly on the multilingual release and one must wait till November 17 to know if the film will meet the expectations of the viewers. They hope to draw crowds with the music, cinematography and the action segments.
Srikanth Ayyangar, Annapurnamma, Raja Ravindra are also part of the lineup. AR Ashok Kumar cranked the camera for the film while Jaguar Krishnan is the action director. Moin choreographed the dance sequences and Ananth Sriram is the sole lyricist. S Ram Prasad is the art director and Prawin Pudi is the editor.
