The upcoming song 'Now And Then' is based on a demo recording by John Lennon from the 1970s era. It was reportedly completed by Sir Paul McCartney and Sir Ringo Starr last year.

When and Where is the track releasing

In an earlier interview with BBC, Sir Paul McCartney revealed that the use of Artificial Intelligence is helping the group to obtain the vocals of their deceased member Lennon from an old cassette. The 4-minute track is slated to be released on November 2 at 2 pm GMT under the banner of Apple Corps Ltd. and Capitol/UMe. The 2023 edition will also contain the expanded remixed version of the hits “Love Me Do” and from the Red and Blue albums.

There’s another exciting news for the Beatles fans, a 12-minute short documentary containing rare footage of Behind-the-scenes will be released on November 1, a day prior to the song release.

Here’s the trailer:

A song about reliving the memories...

Now And Then was written and sung by John Lennon after the 1970s band’s split. A song about friendship and longing takes you back to the memory lane of the good old days. Lennon addressed the song to his old friend, its lyrics “Now and Then I Miss You”, reunite the nostalgia strings.  He labeled the recording cassette “For Paul" before his sudden demise. The recording also contains early versions of the previously released songs Free As A Bird and Real Love.

Surviving band members get emotional..

Remembering their mate and vocalist, John Lennon, who was shot outside his home, Sir Paul said in a press release, "There it was, John's voice, crystal clear. It's quite emotional. And we all play on it, it's a genuine Beatles recording. In 2023 to still be working on Beatles music, and about to release a new song the public haven't heard, I think it's an exciting thing”.

The documentary will be released on the official channel of The Beatles.
