SonyLIV is all set to stream the much-anticipated series Maharani on May 28.But just before the show goes live, the makers have dropped yet another fascinating and intriguing look donned by Huma Qureshi in exclusive stills from the series. After taking the internet by storm with the teaser, Huma’s Chief Minister look is brilliantly designed.

One of the most awaited shows of the month, this SonyLIV Original boasts of a star-studded cast. Amit Sial and Soham Shah will also be seen playing pivotal characters alongside Qureshi.

The story that revolves around Rani Bharti’s (Huma Qureshi) life and how it drastically changes overnight - thanks to an announcement made by her husband (Shah) - that disrupts the state’s political machinery in a blink. Talking about her Chief Minister look, Qureshi said, “I’m excited and looking forward to the show streaming soon. We’ve got a great response to the teaser and I’m sure our viewers will be well entertained through the show. Playing Rani Bharati is multifaceted, she has various shades associated to her character and that has been a great honour to portray. To get into the skin of the character, we tried on various looks that helped establish the phases in her life.”

The titular character reflects grit and resilience and the show’s powerful story calls for an equally mighty cast.

Directed by Karan Sharma and created by Subash Kapoor, the show also stars Pramod Pathak, Kani Kusruti and Vineet Kumar. Based on the political premise of Bihar, Maharani is a fiction drama series, set to release in May, only on SonyLIV.
