Every roaring has each and opposite reaction, says Nivin in a hilarious sneak peek of Kanakam Kaamini Kalaham

If the teaser and sneak peek of Nivin Pauly’s Kanakam Kaamini Kalaham is anything to go by, Malayalam audience are in for a laugh riot on November 12, when the film drops on Disney+ Hotstar. The team released a sneak peek from the film today that had Nivin’s character seemingly giving tips to a few ‘actors’.

“When each of you scream, people should understand what you are roaring about,” he starts off, before seeking a reply from his audience. This is interspersed with shots of infuriated characters played by Sudheesh, Vinay Forrt, Jaffer Idukki and Grace Antony. And then comes his twist on Newton’s third law of motion, delivered with the trademark Nivin smirk, “Every roaring has each and opposite reaction.”

The movie is Disney+ Hotstar's first direct Malayalam OTT release on its platform. Ratheesh, who had earlier helmed Android Kunjappan Ver. 5.25, had told us that the movie has over-the-top comedy. It follows a couple played by Nivin and Grace and their (mis)adventures when they check into a hotel that is filled with problems bigger than their own.

“During the scripting, it was written as a realistic film as the story is inspired from an incident that happened in my life. But that changed when we reached the hotel. The entire mood and space evolved and the quirkiness got elevated once the production design came into play. For instance, you would find influences of Wes Anderson’s movies in many places in the film,” Ratheesh had earlier told us.

The film, which is also produced by Nivin, will mark the actor’s first release this year.
