Euphoria 3 Filming Update

The world has eagerly awaited Euphoria Season 3 since 2022. The show, led by Zendaya, has been absent from the spotlight for over two years. Recently, it was confirmed that production for the third season is back on track. By the time Season 3 is filmed and released, it will have been three years since the second season aired on HBO Max. Speculation about the show's timeline grew after Zendaya joined Christopher Nolan's upcoming ensemble film, raising concerns about when Euphoria would resume production. Now, Colman Domingo, who plays Ali Muhammad on the show, has provided an update on the expected wrap-up schedule for filming.
For those unaware, Colman Domingo is preparing to make his directorial debut with Scandalous!, a film starring Sydney Sweeney, who also features prominently in Euphoria. Given their commitments to the HBO show, both Domingo and Sweeney will prioritize wrapping up Euphoria before transitioning to their movie project. Domingo has now revealed that he plans to begin shooting Scandalous! once Euphoria wraps up filming.
According to Screen Rant, Domingo stated, "Our goal is to shoot [Scandalous!] right after we’re both done with Euphoria, so hopefully I’ll go into prep right after that next year, probably in the third quarter of next year. Then, hopefully, we’ll make a beautiful, sweet film that’s really about the possibility of love, but under many eyes, trying to have privacy, trying to have love, trying to have a life. I think it’s something that Sydney and I both know very well. We’re trying to advocate for your humanity again in your life."
As reported by The Wrap, Francesca Orsi, EVP of HBO Programming and Head of HBO Drama Series, confirmed that Euphoria Season 3 is still very much on track and has not been canceled. The main cast, including Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow, and Hunter Schafer, is expected to reprise their beloved roles in the upcoming season.
Orsi shared, "I am thrilled that we are ready to begin production on Euphoria in January. We could not be happier with our creative partnership with Sam [Levinson] and this incredible cast. We look forward to bringing this new season of Euphoria to life for the fans." Filming for Season 3 is set to begin in July.
