It's official! The digital rights of the feel-good children's film, Erumbu, has been bagged by Amazon Prime Video. The poster with the streaming giant's name has been released. The film, helmed by G Suresh, has child artistes Baby Monica Siva and Master Sakthi Rithvik in the lead. It will be released through director Dhananjayan's Creative Entertainers & Distributors.

The plot of Erumbu revolves around Muthu (Sakthi), a 9-year-old boy who loses his stepmother's ring and is in a situation to find it before his family returns home. His elder sister Pachaiamma (Monica) and an interesting friend (George Maryan) stand in support of him and together they go on the lookout of the ring. Will the trio be able to find the ring before the family arrives?

Erumbu is set in the backdrop of Kattumannarkoil near Aranthangi. The film also stars George Maryan, MS Bhaskar, Charlie, Susan George, Paravai Suntharambaal and Jagan. The plot also revolves around the brother-sister bond and deals with family sentiments and emotions.

Check out the trailer of the film below.

The director had earlier stated during the promotions of the film that the reason he titled the film, Erumbu, was because the children in the story carry too heavy a weight in their shoulders in the form of this situation, just like elephants, which carry weight much heavier than its own body weight.

Music for the film is by Arun Raj, cinematography by KS Kalidass and editing by Thiyagarajan M. Erumbu opened to positive reviews in theatres and was lauded by the critics and audience. The performances by the star cast and the music were appreciated by everyone. The film is bankrolled by Suresh Gunasekaran.

It is to be noted that both Monica Siva and Sakthi Rithwik are popular child artistes and the coming together of the duo is an icing on the cake.
